Memorial Day Weekend

At the last minute, we realized Dan and I both had the Monday of Memorial Day weekend off, so we decided to take one last trip home to NY.  This was really the last time...even though I thought Easter would be.

I had a field trip on Friday, so we got a late start on the road, but it was still worth the trip.  We went home with zero plans, which was nice.  Usually our trips home have a pretty full agenda.  My mom did plan a small BBQ for family and friends, but other than that we enjoyed relaxing and hanging out.

On Saturday, we enjoyed hanging out by the pool and made a trip to Jumpin' Jacks for lunch.  Sydney enjoyed meeting Turner (Jer's dog), seeing Bella (her sister), and spent lots of time in the pool.
On Sunday, Cair and Jordan's twins were being dedicated at church.  Since we were home, Dan and I were able to attend the service.  It was such a blessing to hear their testimony.  Beautiful family.  Awesome miracle.  Amazing faith.
Back at home, prepping for the BBQ...
John and Brooke came up from the city for the weekend.  It was so great to see them!
Later, Cair and Jordan stopped by with the twins.  Our family hadn't met them yet!
Yiayia adores Cair and Jordan and was so cute with the girls.
So great to see them again.  So sad to say good-bye, though.
After a wonderful weekend, we were on the road again.  Back home to Erie...
