On one of Dan's last official days off before he began his internship, we set out to hike the Makapu'u lighthouse trail. It was really more of a paved path than a trail, but the views of the coastline were breathtaking.
Apparently, during the winter months, this is a perfect lookout place for spotting humpback whales.
