September 13, 2002 - September 13, 2012
Ten years ago today, Dan asked me to be his girlfriend. We were on the bus on the way to school. It was the start of 11th grade. We were sixteen.
As I reflect upon our decade together, I am thankful that he was a part of my life for so much of my life. So many big life changes took place - we graduated high school, we went off to college, we graduated college four years later, we got engaged, Dan started med school, I started and finished grad school, we got married, we moved to Erie, we got a puppy, I got my first job and started my teaching career, Dan graduated med school, and we moved to Hawaii - wow!
While so much has changed in our lives since this day ten years ago, so many things have remained the same. He still makes me laugh every day. He's still the person I want to spend all of my time with. I still love him with all my heart.
I wanted to do something special to celebrate our ten year anniversary. When I originally started sorting through pictures, I set aside over 100, and soon realized it was way too much for one blog post. So instead, to honor our ten years together, I narrowed it down to ten pictures from each chapter of our relationship (which was surprisingly hard to do - I guess it's a good problem to have too many special memories/photos to choose from, though).

We grew up together. And now we will continue to grow old together throughout the rest of our days.
