Our New Home

Dan gets all of the credit for finding our new apartment.  He found a perfect place to live for our year in Hawaii.  Having a dog was definitely a limiting factor when looking for a home in Hawaii, especially if the dog is over 15 lbs.  This was the third place we visited our first weekend here, and after seeing it, there wasn't a need to look any further.  A major selling point was the nice fenced in yard area for Sydney.

The first time we looked at it, I didn't take any pictures (not sure why).  When we got the keys and everything was official, we went back to check it out/take pictures.

With pink (yes, pink), orange, and green walls...it definitely has a "tropical" feel. Not to mention the fishy toilet seat.  I don't really want to commit to an ocean-themed bathroom, so the toilet seat will not be staying.  Ha!

Even though we have a place to live (and have had it for almost a month now), we're still living in the hotel until our household goods arrive.  It's been nice having the apartment though.  We try to go up every couple of days to check mail and do laundry.  And we've met several neighbors - all of them are so incredibly friendly. We already were invited to a 2-year-old's birthday party.  So cute.  (Unfortunately, we couldn't attend, but it was very thoughtful)

We can't wait to move in and get settled!
